Small Animal Research Irradiation

The RS 2000 Biological Research Irradiator is ideal for the irradiation of small animals for myeloablation/chimera creation. This unit, in use throughout the world, uses the same technology as the Rad Source RS 3000 blood irradiator which is considered by the FDA to be "Substantially equivalent” to Cesium-137 gamma irradiators. The dose rate delivered to the animal cage is ~ 110 cGy/min, which is the same as a new Cs-137 unit.
